俳人小林一茶も句会に参加するために乗ったといわれる渡し船。海の上のはずなのに、この航路はなんと市道の一部なのです。年中無休・船賃無料で午前７時から午後７時まで運行しています。１人でも乗客がいればすぐに船を出してくれますよ。
地域住民生活の「足」として愛されている時刻表のない舟は、住民を乗せて今日もまったり進みます。

The ferry, which haiku poet Issa Kobayashi is said to have taken to attend poetry gatherings. Although it is on the sea, this route is actually part of a city road. It operates year-round, with free fares, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The ferry will depart as soon as there is even one passenger.
Beloved as a “foot” of the local residents’ daily lives, the boat without a timetable continues to leisurely carry residents today.
